Results!
13 July 2024WKC has ended! I hope that some of you were able to tune in and watch the fights, I had good, strong opponents and surpassed expectations with my performance! Sadly I didn't make it out of the pools, but the WKC is tough, especially for a first timer like myself. I fought hard, I won a fight, and scored a good point in one of my less successful matches. The experience gained here is irreplaceable and the taste of success is something I'm holding onto, letting it fuel me into the future and my return to NZ. I'm already thinking of the next WKC and the opportunities for Shiai (competitions) between the 20th WKC in Japan (2027) and now.
Finally, and most importantly, I just want to say thank you to everyone here who supported me financially and with their words and presence. Thank you for affording me this opportunity, I'll only be going up from here.

Livestream and Update
4 July 2024I've been in Milan with the rest of the NZ team for around 9 days now. Training hard everyday and exploring Milan. Tomorrow (the 4th of July) the women's individual will kick-off the World Kendo Championships, and on the 6th of July I will compete in the men's individuals. Excited!!
