Help me stay with my husband and kids
We need urgent help to fund the cost of legal representation to appeal INZ's decision to decline my visa to stay in New Zealand.

My name is Katy Davis. I travelled to New Zealand three years ago with my best friend for a working holiday visa. In our first week in Auckland I met Greg Davis. As cliche as it sounds, it was love at first sight. As it came time for my friend to continue her journey around New Zealand, I decided I wanted to stay in Auckland and see where it went with Greg and I. It turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.
Soon after, we travelled to Canada for Greg to meet my friends and family. Everyone absolutely loved him and he ended up proposing to me when I took him to the waterfall where my Mum and Dad's ashes are spread. He said that he had to ask my Dad's permission before he proposed.
Three months later, Greg and I received the news that we would be taking his Step-Son (Hunter) and his Daughter (Veanna) on full time. We only had two weeks to prepare for this and to find a new home that would fit us all. But, we made it happen and it only made us stronger as a couple and we started our life as a family unit.
We later got married on October 28th, 2017 in a beautiful Mexican inspired wedding. It was the perfect day in every way and we were married with Hunter and Veanna standing by our sides.
We have now been married for a year, together for three and we are faced with a devastating decision by Immigration New Zealand to decline my visa to stay and work in New Zealand and I have been given 21 days to leave the Country (February 25th).
Greg, Hunter, Veanna and I are heartbroken at the thought of not being together and we need help. We know our best option is to obtain legal help, but there is no way that we could afford this in such a short time.
I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read this. As well as the people who are able to help, every little bit counts.
Use of funds
We will be using the funds to obtain an immigration lawyer to help us with our case and to appeal Immigration New Zealand's decision and any other legal matters that may arise following the appeal.

Hello our amazing supporters!
We first off want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us by donation, letters of support or just lending your ears and helping us stay strong through this tough situation.
Greg and I have had sleepless nights and non stop days getting all of the paperwork in order for our deadline of appeal, which was TODAY. We did it! And today our Immigration Advisor has submitted my request for reconsideration of immigrations decision to decline my visa.
We will know more in the next 10 days (my departure from New Zealand date of February 25) Immigration will either: Decline my reconsideration which means we move onto our next plan of attack, accept my reconsideration which means I can now apply for residency, or extend my interim visa until they make a decision.
We are extremely humbled by the generosity of not only our loved ones, but also complete strangers. It makes us want to contribute more to the world and help others who need it.
I promise to keep everyone updated along the way.
