Kiwis supporting displaced ukrainians
Morrinsville, Waikato
We are a kiwi family living in Spain absolutely horrified at the situation in Ukraine. We have been fortunate to have the space and income to welcome refugees into our home but we recognize that is not enough. There are now an estimated 10 million displaced across Europe, and still many more stuck in this war zone waiting for rescue. The humanitarian efforts have been amazing, but I want to raise funds for what happens next.
With monies raised I want to support our local spanish non-profit Hope4U that is helping house refugees in vall de pop, costa blanca. There are immediate needs for accommodation, food and medicine but also the aim is to upskill with language courses, help the children thrive in local schools and activities. Furthermore get those individuals, that can, prepped for employment opportunities too. Find out more here: https://www.facebook.com/Hope4U.ES/
I appreciate we have all our own sufferings, and the impacts of COVID have hit both health and the pocket. So please just give if you can, and if you can't please spread awareness. This war is long from over but even with the bombs stop. It will be a long time before they have a home again.

Thank you for the continued support 28 June 2022
As we see the end of the 4month of the current conflict, we see the media coverage drop and many around the globe continue on 'life as normal'. But sadly thousands are still displayed and with over 50 missiles launched in a 24hr period yesterday we are trying to encourage people not to return home to Ukraine. Its very hard, they want to go home, local support is sporadic and with summer in Europe many having to move accomodation. Please continue to raise awareness and support again if you can. Thank you
