Help Meg Continue to Fight Cancer

  • A Brief Update xx

      4 September 2025

    Hi Everyone,

Meg and us all as her family just want to share an update on her current health.

Devastatingly the cancer has returned already. Meg is in Wellington hospital receiving exceptional care by her dedicated oncologist and the brilliant staff here. She could not be in better hands so we are so grateful for that.

We are continually grateful for your ongoing support, love and prayers you continue to send her way.

    Love to you all.

    Arlene

  • A Message from Meg - Back from Mexico

    Kia Ora Everyone!

Me and Dad arrived back from Mexico about a week ago and I have been recuperating at home since!

While we are still waiting on the official report from the radiologist - my oncologist at Sanoviv could see no evidence of cancer in the scan I had which is incredibly exciting!

I am grateful that the treatment at Sanoviv - combined with the chemo and radiation treatment I had at home, has allowed me to get to this point!

The fight will continue at home with a program from Sanoviv, alongside healthcare and advice from other Doctors here in NZ regarding “alternative treatments”.

I will also continue to see my Oncologist in Wellington and we will tackle the hurdles we can in NZ.

This cancer will be an ongoing battle for me throughout my life and I am so overwhelmingly appreciative of all the support and love everyone has offered!

We will keep this page up for a little longer as we are still paying back all the expenses of the treatment.

As always, thank you all so so much for your love, prayers and donations!

    Love, Meg

  • An Update from Meg in Mexico

Hi to all you amazing people out there ❤️💕

Meg is in her second week at the Sanoviv Clinic.

Her treatment plan is full on and she is finding it challenging - for lack of a better word. But she was prepared for it and expecting just as much (although everything is harder in reality as we all know).

Some treatments take it all out of her, and some make her feel ok.

All in all, Meg feels less than average most of the time, but she assures me she is ok.

And she also reminds me that she is so grateful for this opportunity, and with the hard comes the good. Having the chance to continue to fight this cancer in every way possible is amazing.

    Love to you all,

    Arls xx

    Hi Lovely People

Meg and her Dad Jason are on their way to Mexico!

Although Meg is nervous she is also excited!

It has all happened rather quickly to enhance her recovery following the recent radiation - I cant believe she has gone already!

(we are fortunate to have borrowed some money and all donations will continue to go towards the Sanoviv Institute costs)

As always, many thanks to you all for sharing, sending love and prayers and donations. We are so very grateful.

    Arls xx

Hi Everyone, just an update on behalf of Meg. She finished her radiation treatment last week which is great! The picture is of her ringing the "Bell" of completion on the ward which is always a milestone. She is feeling pretty lousy at the moment but should improve over the week.

We are all continually grateful for your thoughts and prayers and donations. Meg is keen to get to the Sanoviv Institute to continue her battle. We will keep you all posted.

    Love Arls xx

    Hi Everyone!

I am incredibly grateful for all your kind thoughts, prayers and donations! I am currently in my last week of radiation so symptoms are starting to ramp up and it’s getting a little rough but luckily have some great support so am pushing through!

With this now being my 5th time having cancer, I am hopeful that medical treatments offered in other parts of the world, such as at the Sanoviv Institute, will allow me to have more time to live my life.

Spending time with my family and friends, finishing my Nursing degree and giving others the great experience I have with the nurses involved in my own care are just a few of the things I would love to spend my time doing. Thank you all very much for giving me the opportunity to do these things!

    - Love Meg
