Cancer sucks, terminal cancer more so - help us help Megz enjoy the time she has left with us

Megz is an amazing partner, mother, sister, grandmother and awesome friend, and in her very young 52 years she has brought so much joy, kindness, sass, humour and strength to everyone who knows her.
Megz has always been a fighter. She battled breast cancer over ten years ago. Then due to a hereditary condition causing kidney failure, Megz finally had a kidney transplant in 2020 another battle won. But - December 2023 she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After surgery and recovery time it was then time to talk radiation and chemo. In March 2024 Megz was informed that the cancer had spread and was now considered incurable. Time frame 11 months with palliative chemo to give as much time as possible. And all the complications that come with that.
Megz faces every challenge with grace and determination. Even some bloody-minded stubbornness and many moments of sadness. Despite numerous treatments and the unwavering support of her crew, positive vibes and doing everything right, it’s now time to ask for help. Not something Megz is good at. It’s been an incredibly difficult time, but Megz continues to inspire everyone with her courage and can still light up a room with her smile
Megz has been a giver. Her nursing career has seen her giving and caring for all ages and stages. She was a very involved with the volunteer fire service in Omokoroa and has helped so many people at the worst time of their lives.
Now she needs help.

As Megz enters this final stage of this sh**ty journey, the focus is on supporting both Nick & Megz, through these emotional and financial challenge. All money raised will go to day to day costs and funeral expenses. Megz hasn't been able to work since Dec
