Help Michael get home safely with medical assistance.

Our beloved Michael suffered a collapsed lung in Thailand and has been in Chantaburi hospital since the 4th of November.
Unfortunately the lesion causing his pneumothorax is taking a long time to heal and could require surgery.
We are trying to get Mike home safely with a medical escort so that he can be cared for back in NZ and possibly operated on.
Their travel insurance claim was denied. They are linking his recent injury to his pre existing condition - pulmonary fibrosis.
It will cost them AUD 35k to get Mike home with a medical escort, on top of the amount they have had to pay for his hospital stay in Thailand so far.
Any funds that we can raise to help Mike and Marina get home would be dearly appreciated and I hope to see them home and safe soon, as do to their loving family and friends 🙏 ❤️

Michael is the father of Solomon, David, Ben, Michelle, Jaquie, Catherine, Hene and step father of Helena and Hamilton.
He has many grand children.
He sparks joy in the community and we love him deeply ❤️
Use of funds
Help funding his flight home with medical assistance which will cost 35k AUD on top of what they've had to pay in Hospital bills already.
If their target isn't reached the money will be used to pay back as much as they can for the repatriation.

Hey everyone!
Good news, Mike is home, albeit at Auckland Hospital, and showing signs of significant improvement.
The lesion has miraculously healed and his chest drain has been removed🙏 Hopefully he’ll be discharged tomorrow!

The ~$5000 raised will go directly towards the repatriation costs.
