As we close this chapter, we wanted to share one final update on Molly. ❤️

Molly is now healed — both physically and mentally — and we truly could not have made it through this journey without the incredible kindness, support, and generosity from so many people.

To every person who donated, shared our page, sent messages, checked in, or simply offered kind words… thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support carried us through some very difficult days and reminded us just how much compassion there is in the world.

Watching Molly happy, safe, and back to herself again is the greatest gift we could ask for.

This will be our final update, but the gratitude we feel will stay with us forever.

    With love and endless thanks,

    Kim & Molly 🐾

  • Getting better every day

Molly is officially back to her full-time job of being outrageously offended by absolutely everything.

After impaling herself on a 20cm stick, emergency surgery, weeks of recovery, and enough stress to age me at least 15 years, she’s now nearly back to her old self. Which apparently means barking furiously at trucks, suspicious pedestrians, lawn mowers, other dogs, and the terrifying menace that is the Otto bin.

To hear her yelling at inanimate objects again honestly feels like music to my ears. We’re so grateful for everyone who helped get her through this. Watching her return to being a loud, dramatic little chaos goblin has been the best sign of all. ❤️

Molly is spending time both inside and outside and tomorrow we will have a short walk. She’s still taking pain and anti inflammatory drugs but she’s so happy it’s infectious 🐾♥️

Molly got her stitches out today. There was no way she was going into a consult room so they were removed at reception. A trip to the beach, an ice cream and KFC to celebrate 😊

Aside from still having her stitches Molly is back to her old self today. She’s been barking at trucks from her crate and is so happy to spend some time on the couch tonight 😊

I have 6 weeks off so I can spend lots of time with Molly. She’s doing great. Stitches are dry and her wound is clean 😊

Molly has been kept very quiet today and she doesn’t seem to mind. Outside for the toilet and back to bed. She seems happy with this arrangement today. No fluids visible today. Fingers crossed she’s on the mend

Molly is happy within herself but today fluid started seeping from her stitches. I contacted the vet and she reassured me that it’s nothing to worry about at this stage. Molly just needs lots of rest with minimal movement.

Today I was able to bring Molly home.

So happy but scared at the same time as there is still a risk of infection in her chest. One day at a time
