Help my aunt survive and start a new life
Give hope to my family in Gaza. Help them survive and help me bring them to New Zealand.
My aunt, Maysoon Al-Desouki, is still in Gaza. Under very difficult conditions barely surviving. They are currently in a school shelter where they share all the facilities. Lack of hygiene and space means ongoing illnesses all around. My aunt is always helping those around her and trying to keep her family strong. The drones and constant bombing haven't stopped. Famine is unbearable. They lost their home more than a year ago. Recently her brother-in-law's family were all martyred and they struggled to find burial places on top of hefty burial costs.
A massive thank you to all those who contributed to the last fundraiser. The funds help them purchase (very overpriced) food and medicine where available, and topping up phones to hear from them when possible. Waiting on this nightmare to be over so they can either rebuild their home or start a new life somewhere else. Praying for their safety until then 🙏

We are hoping to get my aunt and her family to restart their lives in peace abroad. I have started applying for their visa, your generosity will contribute towards their safety, survival and hopefully a new life somewhere safe like Aotearoa.
The funds will help us pay for their exit and expenses to restart their lives. The family of 7 will need transport, clothes, food and a place to. live.

Fam update: My aunt in Gaza is still sheltering in a school and trying to make ends meet. She recently sent me a photo and video of how she made coffee.. I’ve attached them to this update.
Praying for them day and night 🤲🏻
Financial update: I have paid a deposit of 25k.
Total amount needed is 55k NZD (which is USD5000 per person- so USD35,000).
Current total raised amount as of today is $19,047.55
So we just need $10,952.45 to go 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is just to get the family of 7 out of Gaza SAFELY into Egypt. Life in Egypt will be another cost. But we can worry about that later - we just want our family safe out of Gaza 🙏🏻
Departure update: We are currently waiting on the roads to be safe and hopefully the full amount to get my aunt and cousins out, will be ready by then.
