God is bigger than my Dad’s cancer
Canterbury
Our Papa has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, and our family is now facing one of the most difficult and heartbreaking times of our lives.
Hearing the words “Stage 4 cancer” changed everything in an instant. No family is ever truly prepared to hear news like this. We are still trying to process the diagnosis while doing our very best to stay strong, remain hopeful, and support Papa through every step.
It is incredibly difficult for him to give up work after spending so many years providing for our family, but we know that right now, his health has to come first. Our mama has also had to stop working so she can look after and care for Papa during this difficult time. This has left me as the only one currently working, while we try to support our family and cope with the financial pressures that have suddenly come with his diagnosis.
Papa means the world to us. He is a husband, a father, and someone who has spent so much of his life caring for and providing for our family. We are taking everything one day at a time, holding on to every possibility, and doing everything we can to make sure Papa does not have to face this journey alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, prayers, love, and support during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced.
Every share, and every message of support will make a difference and remind us that we are not alone in this fight. ❤️
