Join us in helping fulfill my dad's lifelong dream of visiting the Masai Mara as he battles terminal cancer, creating final memories.

In June 2022, my dad was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, which has since metastasised and spread to his liver, right lung, and other areas. At just 59, he’s now facing a prognosis of 18 to 36 months, which he is 20 months into. Despite this, his positive spirit and love for life continue to shine through.
As a single father of four, my dad has always been our rock. He raised my sisters and me through some incredibly tough times, always putting our needs before his own. His selflessness, strength, and determination have been a source of inspiration for us, and now we want to give back to him in a way that truly matters.
Because of his illness, he is no longer able to work, which has only added to the challenges he faces daily. Yet, one thing that keeps his spirits high is his lifelong dream of visiting the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. This trip would mean the world to him—a chance to experience the incredible beauty of African wildlife and escape the weight of his illness, if only for a short time, before his health deteriorates to far.
We are raising funds to help him fulfill this dream, to give him a break from his struggles and allow him to create precious memories. Your support, no matter the size, will go directly toward making this trip possible. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
I am the proud daughter of the beneficiary (Dean), a single father who raised me and my three siblings with love and strength through challenging times.
To travel to Masai Mara, Kenya. Shall his health not permit this, he will use the funds to travel the South Island and to spending time with family, making memories.
Merry Christmas 28 December 2024
I spent Christmas with my youngest daughter. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Being with someone you love while knowing it's the last time you'll ever do this. This year went by too fast.
Thankyou to all those who have supported me. Everything raised here has been split between spending a special day together with each of my daughters - starting with doing the Rotorua night time treewalk with my younger twin - and saving for a bucket list grand finale in the South Island with my siblings.
It's going to be an emotional few months. If you have a loved one in my position give them an extra hug. It's a hard journey and they need it.
I'm lost for what to say, thankyou seems insufficient. But thankyou, this made my week
Thankyou, that means a lot
