I wish to thank you personally for helping in rebuilding my village. What you have contributed has provided for basic food supplies in the difficult period the villagers were going through. I have attached photo showing food rations being distributed in the village.

We convey our sincere gratitude & thank you to all your kind heart and free will giving to support our cause to rebuild the lives of my village.Fiji was hit by another tropical cyclone in the last week and imagine the discomfort it continues to impact in the lives of the people.

I'm aiming to purchase food rations for 58 families in the village from a leading local supermarket in Labasa which is the closest town to my village.I have attached on the picture above what each family will be getting in the gift hamper. The funds raised to date will acquire for 49 families so still have 9 families to go. Any support will be hugely appreciated.

I have attached below the email from the General Manager of RB Patel who is waiting for the lump sum to be paid in full before they can prepare the order

    *****************************************************

    Bula Sanaila,

I have answered your questions in red.

) Can it be picked up at your Labasa Store once paid if I pay online? Yes our Labasa branch will prepare and have the order ready for pick up once we received a confirmed purchase from you.

    2) Do you arrange delivery or do we pick it up in- store? Pick up option is the best as delivery to Bua is around additional $150. Please note delivery will be to one point only in Bua.

    3) Can I start purchasing in small portions or do you prefer purchase all at once? Example I can purchase 17 Hamper packs now and you will only send out once fully paid for the 58 families. We prefer maximum order that you can purchase at any one time. The best options are pick up as you can reuse the delivery’s fees for addition hamper packs.

I hope I have answered all your questions. Lets me know if you have any further questions.

    With regards,

  • Villagers striving back to normalcy.

      25 January 2021

The Primary & secondary school terms have begun in Fiji in the last week. The trauma faced by the younger generation is inevitable as merely forced to move on with life.

What are the challenges the villagers face right now? Its the traditional cycle of their daily lives where food is uprooted in the plantations & fishing out in the sea. Plantations were severely obsoleted and requires re- planting which obviously takes time to grow. Fishing boats were damaged during the cyclone and some are in-capable of serving its purpose under safety requirements.

Hence the objective now is to help meet the daily meals of the villagers as they wait for their new plants & food to ripe in their plantations.

Our first assistance is focuses on sending food items to the village to help the villager survive.
