Please Help Natalie Access Life-Saving Immunotherapy

My mum, Natalie is the kindest and most selfless woman that we know and we are urgently asking for help to cover the costs of the life saving cancer treatment.

At 45y old, a year after her first diagnosis of a rare anal cancer and following a brutal fight of chemo and radiation, my mum, Natalie has been given the news that her cancer, which we thought was gone, has moved to her liver, and she has now been classed as Stage Four.

Natalie's oncology team has recommended adding immunotherapy to her treatment however this drug isn't publicly funded in New Zealand for her type of anal cancer

The drug, Nivolumab and costs over $8530 a month for her to receive, and while the medicine is capped at $60K, the treatment HAS to be injected at a private clinic as it’s not funded for her.

This means an additional $2300+ for each monthly infusion if she chooses to keep fighting and do additional rounds. Natalie also has to attend multiple appointments with an oncologist each month costing $280 each time.

The cost of the above + the possibility of loss of work/income is overwhelming and as a daughter, who loves her mum more than anything, and from the heart of the rest of Natalie’s family we're asking for your help to give Natalie access to this treatment and every possible chance to keep making memories
