Helping Nita Rest and Heal

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for a bit of support for someone very special to me, Nita.

A few years ago, Nita’s kidneys began to fail, and she had to start dialysis. It was a really tough time, but after a while, things improved and she was able to come off treatment. She got two good years back, two years of living more freely and enjoying life.

But recently, things have taken a turn. Her kidney function has dropped again, and she’s now back on dialysis three times a week. We travel to the Hamilton dialysis unit for every session, it's exhausting for her, but she's facing it all with strength.

One of the hardest parts right now is how much pain she’s in at home. Nita can’t lie flat in a bed anymore, so she’s been sleeping in a lounge chair for months. But that chair has completely worn out, the seat has collapsed, and it gives her no support at all. She’s barely sleeping, constantly uncomfortable, and in a lot of pain.

I’m hoping to raise enough to buy her a new recliner chair and an adjustable bed with a proper mattress, something that will finally let her rest and be more comfortable at home. She truly deserves some relief.
