Help Nicole, Kolie and their whānau ❤️

Just under three years ago, our beautiful sister Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer, which had spread to her bones and liver.

Hormone treatment worked well for more than two years, allowing Nicole to keep working and enjoying life with her husband Kolie and their kids, Theo and Willa.

Earlier this year, after becoming unwell with a virus, her treatment stopped working and her health declined rapidly. She moved onto oral chemotherapy, allowing her to continue living life and take a special family trip to Perth and South Africa to spend time with both sides of their whānau.

Sadly, after returning home, Nicole’s liver rapidly deteriorated. She began IV chemotherapy but was soon hospitalised with a serious septic infection. We feared she wouldn’t make it through, but thankfully she did.

We have now been told Nicole can no longer receive chemotherapy as it would be life-threatening. Her only treatment option is off-label medication which is not funded.

Kolie has had to stop working in his tennis coaching business to care for Nicole and their kids, while Nicole has medically retired from Oranga Tamariki after 14 years.

We are raising funds to ease financial pressure and allow our family to focus on each other.

No one knows how much time they have. We want them to fill that time with love, laughter and precious memories, without the added worry of finances.
