Supporting Noland Kinney and family to stay in NZ via assistance with legal and immigration costs.
Tokoroa, Waikato
Noland Kinney is a Filipino dairy farmer who has lived in Aotearoa with his family for almost a decade. Due to discriminatory Acceptable Standard of Health (ASH) immigration requirements, his residency application has been declined.
Noland and his family have built their lives in Tokoroa. They are embedded in the farming community here. His wife's family have lived in Aotearoa for 26 years and his children have grown up going to school in Tokoroa. The family have nothing back in the Philippines; Aotearoa is their home. A petition in support for him to be able to stay has received almost 2000 signatures, please sign from https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/justice-for-noland-and-family-to-stay-in-aotearoa?source=direct_link&
No one should have their immigration status penalised due to health or disability and Noland and his family will continue to fight for their residency. This will involve increased legal and immigration costs which the family will need any financial support available to help with.
Migrants Against the Acceptable Standard of Health Aotearoa have been working closely with the Kinney family to provide support and community at this time.
Funds will go towards immigration and associated legal costs as well as to alleviate some financial burdens they already have through the immigration challenges.
