Samantha asks

Kia Ora Franko,

I’m messaging you here but have also sent you a Facebook message.

A friend of mine, Taane Mete, said I should get in touch about this event and future ones too.

My name is Samantha Dench and I am a qualified yoga teacher (as well as a trained musician). I’d love to be a part of this International Yoga Day in Christchurch. I teach many different styles of yoga but my most popular classes are Creative Vinyasa Flow where I merge movement, music and creative sequencing, encouraging one to move in a way that feels good.

I’ve been teaching yoga for almost 9 years now. I first began my journey with Ashtanga Yoga to help strengthen my wrists and create a strong foundation and focus of breath when I was training to be a classical musician at university in my late teens into my twenties. My first Vinyasa/Ashtanga 200Hr Teacher Training I did with Patrick Loubert in the south of France, Toulouse. I continued to travel, study, learn and teach in France, Spain, Germany, Bali, New Zealand & Italy. I have since done more training in Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Aerial Yoga, Restorative Yoga and sound bowl healing as well as completing my 500Hr YTT in Vinyasa.

I’ve settled in Nelson, for now, after moving out of Auckland/Waiheke Island in June, earlier this year. On completion of a 10-Day Vipassana retreat I decided to travel south and see where the wind would take me. And my goodness, I’m so happy to be here down here. ❤️

I do hope to hear back from you soon.

Sending hugs love & light my friend,

Hari Om,

Samantha
