We need your help to get our boys to the World Waka Ama Sprints in Tahiti this coming July.

Desperately seeking a helping hand:
We still need your help - only $1500 short of our collective fundraising goal.
If you can spare $5 or $10 please donate to our boys. We have worked very hard over the last 5 months to raise all the money needed and still require just a wee bit more.
OUR STORY
Recently our 15 young men (aged between 13 - 18 years old) qualified to compete in the World Waka Ama Sprint Championships in Tahiti this coming July. To qualify, they competed at the NZ Waka Ama Club Nationals where they achieved 6 gold medals and 3 silver medals - winning a medal in every race they entered.
Tahiti is very expensive. Travel, accommodation and daily expenses (kai, vehicle hire etc) will cost in excess of $5000 per paddler.
To help raise funds we are doing a lot of fundraising events around Gisborne to lower costs but won't be able to reach our target without help from other generous people. This is where you can help. We would really appreciate any koha/donations you can give our boys.
Our boys have been in training for this since September 2017. They train on average 8 times per week, both as a team and individually, showing they are a group of very disciplined and dedicated young men.
Please help them to achieve their dream of travelling to World Waka Ama Sprint Championship in Tahiti.
All funds raised will go directly towards travel, accommodation and daily expenses in Tahiti.
