Please Give a Little love for our dear 'son' Misiafa who has been struck down with acute dengue fever and currently fighting for his life.
Auckland
The Lene family are passionate about doing life as a family unit. The parents Louis and Taunese have two children, Misiafa (12) and Niulina (5) whom they adore and fully support their educational and sporting activities. As a family they support their church and community in giving of time and tithe. Recently they have had a health scare, loss of loved ones in quick succession which has put an unreasonable amount of pressure on their finances. And now their son Misiafa has been struck down with acute dengue which has required blood transfusions to stabilise him. They are currently in Samoa and are desperate to medically evacuate him to New Zealand to get the health care needed to restore him to full health. They have been able to secure some financial support from the Samoa government but are still required to meet half the costs.
I am a family friend who loves this family and want to do what I can to appeal to the wider community that they serve in to help. Given the reverse, these people would be more than willing to help others and that is what they have lived by.
It will cost about NZD35,000 to cover medical expenses and the personal share to medically evacuate him to NZ.
Farewell Misiafa 13 April 2025
We are heartbroken to learn of Misiafa’s passing after his battle with dengue. Our thoughts and prayers are with Taito, Taunese, and Niulina during this incredibly difficult time. We stand united in love and support, and we trust that your strong faith in God will help you navigate this profound loss.
To the family and friends who have generously contributed love offerings—these will be used to assist the family as they prepare for Misiafa's farewell. This page will remain active for the family to help cover the mounting medical and funeral expenses.
Farewell, Misiafa. You will always be missed, Champ. Soar high.
