Our beautiful son Teinaki, has T-cell Leukaemia, and with a 2/3 year recovery road map, any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Auckland
On the 18th of February 2025, our son Teinaki was diagnosed with T-cell Leukaemia. What we know so far is that his battle will be a 2/3 year road map to recovery with intense chemotherapy in the first 6 months where his immune system will be at its most compromised.
Teinaki is a fit, active, beautiful young boy and has dived into this battle like a champ. He is an avid fisherman, plays softball, soccer, basketball, swims, attends church and Sunday school and trains Jiujitsu twice a week.
As a family we have decided that mum will need to return to work to keep the wheels moving and Dad will stand down from work indefinitely to care for our son.
We don't know yet what this will look like financially, but we do know that we want to focus on Teinaki's recovery whole heartedly without the stress of financial pressure. Without Dads income this will be inevitable however we are strong believers in doing right by our kids first and foremost.
Teinaki's journey will be our main focus over the next few years, especially the first 6 months, and we will fight this fight with him every step of the way.
Thank you
Rux, Liz, Teinaki and Lani
