Help our light burn bright
Our beautiful, young Mia needs your help.
TaranakiMia is your typical happy-go-lucky, beautiful young girl. She is a loving big sister to Quinn, future big sister to one on the way, an adorable niece, a loyal best friend, a caring cousin, a cheeky grand child and a daughter you could only wish for.
She is only 8.
On the 23rd of June 2019, Mia was diagnosed with an inoperable tumour located on her cerebellum/brain stem and without medical treatment, doctors have given her 9 months to live.
Mia will be undergoing radiation therapy and will last for 6 weeks. The doctors hope that with this treatment, they can slow down the growth rate of the tumour and potentially prolong her life by 2-5 years. In this time Ana, Chris and Quinn will be in Brisbane helping her through the process, over 10 hours away from their home of Mackay.
The Mceldowney's and the Mcseveny's are proud families but in this instance we need your support.
All money raised will assist Ana and Chris with medical costs, accommodation costs, travel costs, loss of income and most importantly, help make life as comfortable as possible for Mia.
Funds raised will also assist with any financial pressures they endure and help fly loved ones from New Zealand and all parts of Australia to be by their side in their time of need.
We want Mia and her family to enjoy the life she has and make the most incredible memories.
