Mt Potts needs your help - please give a little to help a lot...

Canterbury

Mt Potts was abandoned as a ski area in the late 1990's leaving behind a 'sink full of dirty dishes'. It has essentially laid dormant as a backcountry destination until Erewhon Hut was established in 2024.

We need some help cleaning the mountain up - removing waste from the previous use (flying rubbish out and disposing of this rubbish), and cutting out dangerous railway irons, and ensuring the mountain is well looked after for future use including helping out with public initiatives such as help maintaining a public toilet, an outdoor table, removing rubbish, and a webcam (for example).

Use of funds

Flying rubbish from the old ski area out and disposal.

Cutting out old railway irons (which are a hazard for backcountry skiers).

Help maintaining a public toilet including with the cost of flying toilet waste out.

An outdoor picnic table.
