Last year, Pandora Black was violently assaulted at work. The impact and repercussions from this life changing event are ongoing and have cost Pandora greatly, including major loss in income and access to stable housing and accommodation.
Pandora is a person who views the struggles of others as something to dedicate one's life towards alleviating. They are the founder of the Sex Work(er) Aotearoa Network, they led and presented the petition fighting for the rights of migrant sex workers in Aotearoa (https://selectcommittees.parliament.nz/v/6/23214f4e-cf12-4bd2-a836-3db7869de2e1), and just last year they founded the Sex Workers Harm Reduction Collective. Pandora is an incredibly treasured part of our community.
This page was created by Pandora's friends and community under their name for them. We are starting this crowdfund to go towards the costs of finding either long term emergency accommodation or more permanent housing for Pandora on their road to recovery and well-being.

Update from Pandora 30 January 2025
I have just heard that Pandora has just had to flee yet another short term place due to violence and intimidation and abandon most of their belongings. They are back in a hotel with their cat again but cant afford to stay long, and only with a couple of changes of clothes, a pet pram/carrier and a couple of toys for her. They left in such a hurry they are without their jacket, medications, or toiletries. I have extended the closing time for this page as I'm hoping we can get these basic needs met asap and have more time to fundraise for much more permanent and safe housing for Pandora
