Help lift a man out of the ashes of tragedy

Northland

Tragedies happen to the best of us... And one day that's what happened to my good friend Paul he lives off-grid in a quiet part of rural Northland with his beautiful cats friended from wild....

And last Thursday, while helping at my place, he got a phone call from the land owner advising him that the fire brigade was at the property putting out a fire!

When Paul got home, the bus which belongs to the land owner and friend, was a burnt out molten ruin, with no obvious cause.

Food, bedding, clothes, valuables such as musical instruments all gone along with essential equipment for his solar system, camping fridge, computers and tools for finishing off a cabin...

He has been able to tap into some local organisations who have been a God send meaning he can purchase food and other useful items from a local op shop.

However, with no insurance pay out, money is required to clean up the area to make it safe, compensate the owner for his loss and to finish a cabin so that it is liveable...

What if this happened to you?

Please would you consider helping Paul rebuild his life so he can provide a safe home for him and the wild cats he tames?

Sorting through the debris   15 November 2023

Paul is making and using bins to sort out the debris so that as much of it can be recycled as possible - the aim is to reduce the cost of clean up, and the amount of rubbish that goes to the dump. It is tedious, dusty and toxic work 😞 but he's determined to do it.
