Update on Great Grandfather’s Portrait Restoration
26 March 2026I wanted to share a quick update on my Great Grandfather’s portrait restoration.
I’ve now heard back from the restoration team, and they’ve confirmed that the repair work can go ahead. They’ve also let me know that framing isn’t included in their service, so that will need to be arranged separately once the restoration is complete.
Because of this, I’ve updated the total amount I’m hoping to raise so it better reflects the full cost of restoring and properly framing the portrait.
This piece means a lot to my family, and preserving it is really important to me. If you’re able to support or even just share the page, it would honestly mean so much.
