This year Vinnies has assisted 8025 individuals over Canterbury and we are helping families this Christmas providing hope and dignity. A $50 donation can help relieve stress and promote dignity to those in need. Our focus this year is our most vulnerable elderly and children. We thank you for your ongoing support helping us to help others.

About us

Our members and volunteers make regular visits and give assistance to needy individuals and families, the elderly, the sick, or the homeless in our local communities. We operate a food bank and provide clothing, furniture and bedding.

Use of funds

Christmas assistance to our most vulnerable elderly and children

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
