Help Quinn become mobile again

Hi, I’m Jennie, I’m fundraising for my cousin Quinn. A few years ago Quinn was diagnosed with Bone Marrow disease which is in his spine. More recently he’s developed issues with his mobility, due toI L3 L4 and L5 vertebrae becoming dislodged and has a compressed disc and 6 pinched nerves which has taken strength and feeling in his legs. It means his legs give out all through the day and he struggles to coordinate them so he has multiple falls. He is awaiting a surgery date to get his back fused together which should help with mobility. He can no longer use a walker outside the home so he’s been unable to get out and about. He has the option of a scooter but this costs $5k, and with his condition being degenerative, he cannnot go through ACC to help pay for this. Quinn doesn’t have $5k, he’s on a sickness benefit and cannot get WINZ to pay for such an expensive item. Therefore we’re fundraising for him so he can have some freedom back. He’s only 50 years old, I can’t see him stuck in a chair any longer, he deserves to be able to get out and about, and this scooter will allow him to do that. We are also hoping to raise enough to buy a trailer to put on the back of the car so he can go out and attend events a bit further from home. Thank you for reading.
