Wayanad is a beautiful district in the south of Kerala, a place I am proud to call home. Our people are kind, generous and the way our community has come together to support each other during this crisis has been incredible, with donations of food and necessities pouring in from all over the world, for which we are incredibly grateful.
However, as we move forward, it is crucial to start thinking about rebuilding the homes that were destroyed. This is a long-term effort that requires significant resources, and a lot of help will be needed to restore stability and hope to the lives of those affected.
All funds raised through this campaign will be transferred directly to The St. Vincent de Paul Society of our local Parish in Kalpetta, Wayanad. This charity has a proven track record of building homes for the homeless and is well-equipped to manage and execute these rebuilding efforts effectively.
Please join me in helping those in desperate need by donating today. Your support will bring hope and a new beginning to the affected families in Wayanad.
Wayanad is my hometown, where I grew up and somewhere I have a deep connection to. It's been absolutely heartbreaking to see such a tragedy occur so close to home and while I can't be back home to help in person, I'm determined to help in any way I can.
Funds raised will cover building materials, labor costs, and essential utilities for constructing new homes. They will also support temporary shelters provided by the St Vincent de Paul Society, helping victims rebuild their lives and regain stability.
