Tauteihiihi Marae is more than a place to gather. It is a place of whakapapa, tikanga, connection and belonging. We have a responsibility to protect it for our hapū, whānau, mokopuna and future generations.

Investing in a Sustainable Future

We have secured funding for a solar energy project to reduce electricity costs and strengthen our marae’s long-term financial and environmental sustainability. Before installation, our wharekai roof needed replacing to ensure it was weathertight and suitable for the solar panels, scheduled for December 2026.

While the solar project is fully funded, the roof replacement is a separate expense that our marae must meet. We are asking our whānau, hapū, uri, friends and wider community to help cover these costs.
