Help Rose Continue Her Fight Against Terminal Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Dear friends and whānau ❤️

I’m sharing this update because I can no longer carry everything on my own.

After fighting breast cancer, I’ve received the heartbreaking news that it is now stage 4, metastatic, terminal and incurable. It has spread to my lungs, bones, scalp and more than 23 areas of my skin.

My treatment continues in cycles for the rest of my life. It cannot cure the cancer, but it may slow its progression and give me more precious time.

I’ve had to leave the aged-care work I love because of pain, exhaustion and treatment. As someone who has always been fiercely independent, asking for financial help is incredibly difficult.

There are ongoing costs for treatment, appointments, travel, medication and everyday living.

I’m not asking because I’ve given up. I’m asking because I haven’t.

I still hope for more time with my family, memories with my grandchildren and more ordinary days together. I also hope to explore additional medical opinions and complementary options alongside my oncology treatment.
