Help Save Auckland's only indoor skate park, Sonsk8!

Sonsk8 is Auckland's only indoor skate park. It needs our help to stay open! East Skate Club who took over the running of Sonsk8 a year ago have added in so many new ramps, fixed up some of the old ones and really revitalised the park. They've created skate only nights, hosted the secondary school competition, cleaned up the park and got it in a much better condition, creating a fantastic space for skaters to go when the weather is bad or the days are short through winter. As the weather warms up less people are going to Sonsk8 but the running costs stay the same. As East Skate Club await to hear about some grants they have applied for to help Sonsk8 stay open, I think all of us who have benefitted and enjoyed having a great indoor skatepark should help them keep the doors of Sonsk8 open. There have been weeks and weeks of rain in Auckland this year and without Sonsk8 my skater kids would have gone mad not being able to skate!! East Skate Club run this place with community in mind and have created a safe and fun place for skaters, skooterers, bmxers to go that has nothing but good vibes. Lets help them keep Sonsk8 open and show them how grateful we are to have a space like this.
