I would love to see history not sunk but saved, This vessel is 122 years old and still has a lot of life left in her.
Auckland
The little mullet boat the "Taihoa" had been docked down at the Waiuku wharf for 9 months, with his owner Trevor Kirk. Unfortunately as many of you may well be aware, Trevor and the "Taihoa" had some misfortune while returning home to Te Toro. The following on this givealittle page has a video it covers the little story of her time in Waiuku recently.
Trevor faces an uphill battle to get her back on the water, and it would be nice to think that we can help Trevor with the "Taihoa". I'm sure many of you would love to help Trevor, he has been explained as a simple character, living an adventure with his small boat.
The "Taihoa" was built in 1896 in Omar, New Zealand and has so much history. "Taihoa" in Maori means "Wait a Minute", so please take a Minute watch the video and please help the "Taihoa".
Thanks Trevor, you and your boat added some much needed character to that old wharf down by the Kentish.
I would like to see Trevor Kirk get the Taihoa back on the sea and to see history afloat again. I have heard about the Taihoa thru social media and want to help.
To help with repairs to the "Taihoa" and to purchase New Sails.
