Me and my family are fundraising money for our cat, Maisy's, treatment as we can't afford it.
Maungaraki, Lower Hutt
My cat Maisy has had a rough life, right from the SPCA her littermates chewed her whiskers off, then she got trapped in a garage for a week with no food or water and was placed on anti depressants. For a while, she was trouble free until she got lost for a week a few years later. Ever since then she has been a very fragile, anxious and clingy cat. She has been living a safe and comfortable lifestyle ever since, but over the past few months she had started peeing on my bed and losing weight so we took her to the vet.
The peeing on the bed unfortunatley turned out to be the least of her problems, when the vet told us she found a mass in Maisy's intestinal curtain and there was a high chance it was cancer as it was prominent and easy to feel in a physical exam. The next day however the vets conducted a second physical exam and they found the mass was much harder to find, and the chance of the mass being cancer decreased. We were told it could be a cancer in her lymphnodes, or a disease in her intestines.
This means we will need up to 1000 dollars to just get the scan and biopsy to determine what is wrong with Maisy, and then once we know what it is we will need money for her treatment.
At the moment we are fundraising for the scans, but the long term goal is for all Maisy's treatments.
Anything you can donate will help us out tremendously as we don't have the money to afford the care right now, please donate or share if you are able to.
Thank you, from the Dougans and Sinclairs :)
Maisy is me and my family's cat :)
Up to 1000 dollars will be spent on the scans to see what is wrong with Maisy, then any other money will be put towards the treatments for Maisy as that will be expensive aswell.
