Help save Sam

    The wonderful vet at Vet Associates just called with an update on Sammy. He continues to do well and in her words, is looking fabulous today. He has two more injections today and one more joint infusion tomorrow morning and a bandage change and then he MIGHT be allowed to come home. He still has a very long road ahead of him and will likely be on joint supplements of for the rest of his life but we just want him home!

    Please keep him in your thoughts still, and if you can donate even a $1, it will all help Rebekah with the horrendous bill she has and that grows every day he is in the hospital.

  • Today's update

    Well the updates from the vet today has again been positive. Although Sam has major FOMO and can't stand not being the center of attention, he has finally settled a little and is eating better.

    His bandage change yesterday was "unremarkable" with the lovely vets deciding not to change again today and instead change it tomorrow.

    They were weaning him off his painkillers and going to assess his mobility and perhaps give him an outside yard instead of being stuck indoors in a stable.

    Rebekah took him a bag of carrots and a big sack of grass as well as his own feed and baylage from home in the hopes he would eat better. Bekah also took him for a walk and a pick of grass this afternoon.

    So for now, it's looking reasonably positive, although his vet is still reminding us that he is jot out of the woods yet!
