Help send Chelsey to the World Stage in 2026!

Hi, I'm Chelsey Edwards, a New Zealand swimmer and Aqua Black #265.

I was born and raised in Upper Hutt and started swimming with Upper Hutt Swimming Club when I was five years old at H20 extreme. While I now live and train in Auckland, Upper Hutt will always be home.

Upper Hutt has been part of my journey every step of the way. From my early days at Upper Hutt Swimming Club to representing New Zealand on the world stage, I am incredibly proud to call this community home.

The support of my family, coaches, teammates, and wider community helped shape the swimmer I am today. One of my proudest achievements came last year when I became the fastest New Zealand woman in history over 50 metres freestyle, and I've recently been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

This year presents the biggest opportunity of my career, with the chance to compete at the Commonwealth Games, Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, and World Short Course Championships.

Competing internationally comes with high costs, and much of this must be self-funded. My family and I have invested heavily to make these opportunities possible, but we cannot do it alone.

We are aiming to raise $30,000 to help cover travel, accommodation, competition, and training expenses for all competitions, but any donation is greatly appreciated.

All donations received will assist me in continuing to represent New Zealand and the Upper Hutt community with pride.
