Members of Merezhivo are still working hard. Thankfully it sounds like things have settled down a bit in the area, after a period of missile strikes and power outages close to the border. They have told me they are staying strong and united. Kia kaha from NZ 🌴🌞🏔️ 🌊
As the page is due to close soon, this is update is to say a big thank you to all who have supported the fundraiser for the Sumy Community. With your help they have been able to buy hygiene products for people in need, and brighten the lives of local kids through purchase of art supplies.
It's not too late to still donate if you wish to do so - the page will remain open until the 23rd April.
The community organisation in Sumy is grateful for the support received from donations so far. These funds have been spent on a combination of sanitary and hygiene products, as well as some children's art and craft supplies.
A recent strike on Sumy region means there is continuing need for assistance. At present the community is hoping to acquire a couple of additional ambulances to help with transfer and evacuation of patients.
