Helping Shiva heal so he can get back to supporting his family, friends and community
Auckland
Our dear friend Shivaneel has always been the one to step up and help others — whether it’s lending a hand, organising events, or lighting up a room with his big smile and bigger heart.
A proud and active member of the Fiji Indian community in New Zealand, he’s often at cultural gatherings, fundraisers, and community initiatives. As the eldest in his family, he supports his parents without complaint — but now, it’s his turn to ask for help.
Earlier this year, Shivaneel suffered a serious shoulder injury that now requires urgent surgery. Without it, he risks permanent loss of function and ongoing pain. Public health won’t cover it, leaving a large cost gap he must bridge quickly.
This injury has impacted his work, independence, and even simple daily activities. We’re hoping to raise $21,865.65 to cover surgery and hospital fees.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Shivaneel get the treatment he needs and return to what he loves — supporting his family and community. If you can’t donate, please share this page.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping him on his road to recovery.
I’ve been Shivaneel’s friend since Year 2, and over the years he’s become more like a brother to me
All funds will go directly towards Shivaneel’s urgent shoulder surgery
