Help Skye live her best life

HELP SKYE LIVE PAIN-FREE 🐾

A few weeks ago, we were asked to rehome Skye. When we saw the photo of this poor girl sitting on the porch with her paw raised, we couldn’t say no… and neither could her wonderful new owner.

What we didn’t realise at the time was that Skye had come from a life of neglect. She had spent much of her life chained, and the damage from her past was far worse than anyone knew.

Since adopting her, her new owner has had Skye desexed, flea and worm treated, fully vet-checked and x-rayed. Sadly, those x-rays revealed an old fracture that was never treated.

Because it was left for so long, Skye now has bone-on-bone contact and is living in constant pain.

She urgently needs an osteotomy to repair the damage and give her the chance to finally live without pain.

The surgery is quoted at $2,085.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve already raised $500, leaving $1,585 still to go.

Despite everything she’s been through, Skye is absolutely thriving in her new home. She’s finally safe, loved and experiencing the life every dog deserves. Now we just need to get her the surgery that will free her from the pain she’s lived with for so long.
