Help Sparky Get His Spark Back

Darling Sparky was rescued by myself, a fosterer for Lonely Miaow, just after Christmas last year. He was a skeletal, dying 5 week old kitten. He was so full of flu, I really didnt think he would survive. However, survive he did, and as he grew it became clear that he was going to be a problem child in more ways than one! Due to severe eye damage, his eyes have always give him pain. His left eye moreso than the right. He has had a previous surgery on the left eye for entropian which did give him relief for a while. Sadly, the eye has continued giving him serious grief and the time has come where we have decided to remove it which will increase his quality of life immensely.

Sparky has a chronic herpes infection. He has times of being more or less normal, but many times when he falls seriously sick. He will turn 1 in November and in this year alone has had over 50 vet visits. I adopted this young sweet kid in April out of an abundance of love. I am not rich by any means, all I pledged was that I would keep him as happy as possible as long as I could. Vets have advised multiple times that he could not be rehomed.

I do feel guilty that I'm unable to keep on top of these costs, but he has cleared me out already, and we live hand to mouth. This cat has battled to survive from the day I met him. He deserves to live pain free and with the best medical care we can provide.

- a 4 week course of famvir at a cost of $500-$600

- further antibiotics and other medications necessary to improve his quality of life
