This page has when set up to raise funds in order to subsidize the extensive costs involved with competing in the Pioneer racing event
Wellington
This coming November both my teammate and I will be competing in the Pioneer 6-day mountain biking stage race taking place in the scenic backdrop of the southern alps in New Zealand . The event is run by the same company (Lagardere Oceanania Unlimited) that organises the iron-man events in New Zealand and therefore there will be significant coverage of this event. The event itself involves 424kms of riding but more important an astonishing 15,000+ metres of elevation gain. Among the teams entered are some of the biggest names in world endurance biking as well as several olympians. The fees involves in such an event are extensive and include entry fees, gear and equipment, nutrition, physio and transport. The idea behind this page is to raise funds in order to subsidise these costs to be more manageable for me. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. I have been training intensely for the past 6 months and have another 3 to go before the event. As a novice mountain biker coming into the event I have well and truly had a crash course in mountain biking and endurance racing and am the fittest that I have been in my life. You can follow my training progress on strava and both of our social media pages which there should be links to on this page. Thanks for reading.
