Help support a local hero through stage 4 lung cancer.

27th of August, our world changed forever. My incredible mum got rushed to the hospital, later diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.

I couldn't imagine life without this beautiful human being, not just because she's my mum, because she's my best friend, a soul mate, and my hero.

She is a much loved wife, sister, mum, friend, grandmother, and community hero. She is the heart and soul behind Saving Hope Foundation, which is her absolute passion. She, like anyone in this position, deserves to be supported in this stressful time.

The recommended course for her particular type of cancer is an expensive unfunded immunotherapy drug called Osimertinib at the cost of $100,000, and unfortunately, her insurance will not cover it as it hasn't received Pharmac approval.

She's not one to ask for help, but with everything she does for everyone else, and given the immense stress she is under, I'm going to do it for her. Because I don't believe anyone in this position should have to financially fight for their life.
