This page is to support Clover and her mother Skye by raising funds for Clovers life changing surgery!
Nationwide
Clover is Skye's Black, Long Coat, German shepherd.
This page has been set up to support Clover, Skye and Wolf (Clovers (not related) brother) with the HUGE cost of Clovers up coming surgery and ongoing veterinary care.
Clover is a female, 3yr old pure black, long coat, German Shepherd, and she is Skyes baby!
Sadly the specialist has told Skye that Clover was most likely born with hip dysplasia based on how bad Clovers condition is at such a young age... Clover has moderate arthritis in her right hip and muscle atrophy in her right leg muscle from dragging it. Clover also has severe arthritis in her left hip and leg also. Clover will be getting a full hip replacement on her left back quarter as it is the worst side and priority. She will also have the same on her right back quarter within 1.5-2 years.
Clover has been well looked after her whole life and raised on raw food, quality kibble and appropriate supplements.
As some may know German Shepherds are not suppose to be run fast or exercised hard until they are 1.5 years or older, due to the lack of cartilage in their joints. Skye has taught me this as well as many other things to raise a healthy and happy Shepherd. So Clovers unfortunate illness' are not from her nurture within life.
Clover is completely insured with pet insurance, but sadly this does not cover even half of the costs involved in Clovers transport, surgery and ongoing veterinary care once the surgery is complete. Not to mention the second hip replacement.
As a full-time student who also works, Skye will struggle to come up with this extra money needed to put Clover through the appropriate means of care so she can live a long and fulfilled life...
We have been given a verbal quote of $10,000, however, this may be subject to change as it may not be the treatment recommendation by the specialist.
So please support Clover, Skye and Wolf and help us raise as much as we can to get Clover through her big up coming surgery, and help Clover to live a long and prosperous life!
Skye is a friend of mine who I met through a shared love for the breed of Black, Long Coat, German Shepherds. Skye mentored me through becoming a puppy dad and raising my little (big) girl Iika into the beautiful dog she is becoming.
The funds will be 100% used for the costs of Clovers surgery. Sadly pet insurance does not cover barely enough of the surgery, travel and veterinary costs for Clover to have this procedure. Skye, Clover & Wolf are the most deserving family of this support.
