We’re so happy to share a little milestone update on baby Liam 💛

Liam is now crawling! It’s such a special moment for us to see him gaining strength and starting to explore the world in his own way. These little wins mean everything to our family.

We also have an important update on his journey — Liam is now officially on the liver transplant list. While this is a big and emotional step, it brings us closer to getting him the help he needs.

Our next steps will involve a day trip to Auckland, where we’ll have a formal meeting with the transplant team and Liam will undergo an ECHO of his heart. This is to make sure his little body is strong enough for surgery when the time comes.

After that… it’s the waiting game for the call that could change everything.

We are so grateful for all the love, support, and kindness shown to our family. It truly helps us get through each day.

Thank you for being part of Liam’s journey 💛

  • Hospital update

Last Thursday, baby Liam was admitted to Hutt Hospital after an incredibly tough week. He had been scream crying, particularly while his feeds were going through, which was very concerning for Danielle and Jeremy.

After blood tests and an ultrasound, doctors found that Liam’s liver and spleen have both increased in size since his last ultrasound at the end of January. This has been difficult news for the family, who are now anxiously waiting to see if a stronger case to be put forward to be placed on the liver transplant list.

For now, it’s a waiting game while Liam’s medical team reviews the results and determines the next steps. Danielle and Jeremy remain by Liam’s side, doing everything they can to comfort him while navigating this incredibly stressful and uncertain time.

Despite everything he is facing, Liam continues to show just how strong he is.

Pictured are just a few of the 12 syringes of medication Liam needs every day — a small glimpse into the reality of the treatments he relies on as he continues to fight.

Danielle and Jeremy are incredibly grateful for the love, support, messages, and donations they have received so far. Your kindness means so much to their family. If you are able, please continue sharing Liam’s story to help keep the support around him strong. ❤️

  • Update on baby Liam

Happy New Year everyone! As we head into a new year, Baby Liam is also about to celebrate a very special milestone — his 1st birthday. 🎉

Since his initial decline from Starship for going on the liver transplant list, Liam has recently started a new medication. This medication had to receive special approval to be used in New Zealand and was brought over from Australia. At this stage, Danielle and Jeremy unfortunately haven’t noticed any improvement in Liam’s severe itching yet, but they remain hopeful that it may start to make a difference with time.

The past couple of months have also brought some unexpected challenges for the family. Danielle was involved in a motor vehicle accident, and sadly her car has been written off. This means the family is now down to just one vehicle, which Jeremy relies on to get to and from work.

If anyone is able to help, any donations — no matter how small — would make a huge difference and will go towards helping Danielle get back on the road and easing some of the pressure the family is currently facing.

Thank you so much to everyone who has continued to support Liam and his family. Your kindness, messages, shares, and donations truly mean the world. 💛

  • Starship update for Baby Liam

    Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for your continued love, support, and generosity for Danielle, Jeremy, and baby Liam — it truly means the world.

Last week, Liam spent several days at Starship Hospital undergoing important testing to see if he met the criteria for a liver transplant. On Friday, Danielle and Jeremy received a call from the Starship team letting them know that, at this stage, Liam is not eligible for transplant.

While this was incredibly hard news for the family, Liam will continue to be closely monitored by his community nurse and the hospital team. Danielle and Jeremy remain focused on keeping him as healthy and comfortable as possible while they navigate the next steps in his care.

Thank you again for standing behind this amazing family. Your kindness, donations, and messages of support make an enormous difference during such a challenging time. 💛

    Hi everyone,

A heartfelt thank you from Danielle, Jeremy, and little Liam for all the love, kindness, and support you’ve shown. They are truly so grateful for every message, donation, and share.

Late last week, Liam underwent a CT scan and blood tests at Hutt Hospital as part of his ongoing care. These results will help prepare for his scheduled trip to Starship later this month, where he’ll undergo further testing in preparation for a liver transplant.

Your generosity means the world to this family during such an incredibly difficult time. Thank you for standing with them. 💛

  • Update to goal amount

      28 October 2025

After speaking with Danielle, we have decided to remove the original goal amount. We would love to raise money to help Danielle pay her share of the bills and to keep her home with Liam as long as possible.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and sent messages of love and support. Your kindness means the world to Danielle, Jeremy, and little Liam.

Liam has now been discharged from Wellington Hospital and is back home with his mum and dad. Next month, he’ll be travelling to Starship Hospital for further testing and assessments as doctors prepare for a liver transplant in the future.

This continues to be an incredibly emotional and challenging journey for this beautiful family. Any help — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page on your Facebook or with friends — makes such a difference and helps Danielle stay home as long as possible to care for Liam.

Thank you for wrapping this little family in love and support. 💛
