Help Support Environmental Education in Aitutaki

$400 donated
Given by 7 generous donors in 11 weeks

A community fundraising for GROW Aitutaki environmental education and conservation to protect our lagoon and island ecosystems.

International

GROW Aitutaki is a community focused organisation dedicated to creating meaningful environmental education opportunities for children and young people in Aitutaki, Cook Islands.

Through hands on educational and conservation projects, students are learning directly from local experts, scientists, conservationists, and cultural knowledge holders about marine conservation, waste reduction, recycling, lagoon health, biodiversity, sustainability, and protecting our natural environment.

Our programmes take learning beyond the classroom and into the community, lagoon, and natural environment — helping students build a deeper connection to their island while developing leadership, responsibility, and pride in protecting their home for future generations.

Funds raised through this Givealittle campaign will help support:

Environmental education workshops

Lagoon and marine learning experiences

Coral restoration and conservation activities

Waste and recycling initiatives

Educational resources and equipment

Student field trips and transport

Community environmental projects

Future youth-led conservation programmes

You can learn more about our current and past projects here:

Every contribution, big or small, helps provide local students with opportunities to learn, explore, and become future environmental leaders for Aitutaki.

I have always been concerned about the health of the island and lagoon. Been coming for many years and have spent a lot of time hauling rubbish off the beach. I am very happy to support such a great organization! Keep up the excellent work! Meitaki
