Hello everyone! My name is Madeleine Xiao and I'm a young pianist from Auckland, New Zealand.

After completing my Bachelor of Music (Honours) with First Class Honours at the University of Auckland, I'm incredibly excited to be taking the next step in my musical journey: a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London, beginning this September.

This opportunity is a dream come true, but studying overseas comes with significant costs, including tuition, accommodation, travel, and living expenses. As an international student fees per year are around $75,000NZD with around an additional $55,000NZD for living expenses. While I have been fortunate to receive scholarships, there is still a substantial funding gap. So I need your help!

Throughout my musical journey, I've been privileged to perform across New Zealand and internationally, including as a soloist with leading orchestras. I've also been honoured to receive top prizes in every major national piano competition, spanning solo performance, chamber music, and concerto. I hope to continue representing New Zealand on the international stage while learning from some of the world's leading musicians.
