Please spare a moment to help and support Paul’s family in this hard moment in time.
Auckland
Paul Sargent has always been a independent person and always put his family first , his loving wife Mary, daughter Emer and son Ryan and daughter in law Tiffany.
At the end of September 2020 Paul noticed he was getting sick and not getting better. With many doctors and hospital admissions we were given an answer that shocked us all.
In the beginning of October we were told he had cancer in the lymph-nodes. He started radiation and it went well, doctors then said it was time for chemotherapy.
Paul went through one dose of chemo and sadly it went down hill very fast even doctors were surprised on how fast it had spread and had turned terminal, by the beginning of December it had spread all through his lungs and liver.
Sadly he started going backwards and forwards to hospice and home trying to make him comfortable as possible as he had started to lose all energy and was no longer able to care for himself as it was to far spread for more treatment.
Today December 29th 2020 doctors have given us the hardest news our family has ever heard he only may have a few days left and sadly he won’t make it to his daughter’s wedding which is happening in February 2021.
We are hoping to raise money to help the family out with costs when it comes to the funeral and helping support the family in this time of need.
Our goal is to try and cover some of the cost of the funeral but if we do have money left over we are hoping to help others who are sadly going through the same heartbreaking time.
Paul’s funeral 8 January 2021
Sadly yesterday we laid Paul down for his final rest the reality of this is still unreal as it feels like only yesterday we were told he had cancer.
Paul is now at rest at manukau memorial gardens in Auckland close to family. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from all the family
