Riley and her family have endured a year no family should ever have to experience!

The journey started in September 2025, when Riley, aged 3 at the time, started complaining of a sore tummy. Her parents took her to the doctor, never imagining what would follow. After a life flight to Starship in Auckland, Riley was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma — an aggressive child cancer.

Since then, Riley has had intensive chemotherapy, radiation, blood transfusions, multiple surgeries and countless hospital visits. One surgery lasted more than 8 hours as surgeons worked to remove a 10cm tumour.

Through it all, Riley has shown incredible strength. She is brave, strong-willed and the sweetest, most beautiful little girl — despite everything she has been through, she continues to be our Riley!

Her treatment has placed enormous pressure on the whole family. Teri has had to leave her job, while Mark balances work around treatments and frequent trips to Auckland. There are times when their family is separated- her two brothers staying with other family members during long treatments.

And their journey isn’t over! Riley now travels to Auckland each month for week-long immunotherapy treatments, bringing ongoing travel and living costs.

The purpose of this fundraiser is simple: to give this family some breathing room.

They have spent the past year focused on getting Riley through treatment, and they have faced more than any family should ever have to! It's time to help them!
