Hi Taylor. Sorry to hear you are going through MALS. I had surgery for this last March. Lost heaps of weight before they were able to diagnose me. They were convinced I had an eating disorder at the start but they soon learned that was not so. The fact it is a rare condition made things more difficult so took longer than necessary to get a diagnosis. A few months Following the MALS release I had to have my gallbladder removed as this is something that can happen after MALS. I was warned my gallbladder might become unhappy and yep it did so that was removed in September. Since the surgery I have had ongoing abdominal problems but they assure me these are not linked to the MALS. I have since been diagnosed with breast cancer so the health gods don’t like me at the moment. I wish you all the best for your surgery. Dr Yeo is highly recommended for this type of procedure so you are in good hands there. You should have instant relief after the procedure. To be pain free and to be able to eat normal again is something to cheer about. Hang in there Taylor you have got this.
