Support Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe’s Journey to Polyfest 2025!

For the first time in history, Te Taamatatanga o Pukekohekohe, in collaboration with Te Raki o Pukekohe and Wesley College, is forming its very own kapa haka roopu to compete at Polyfest 2025. This is a moment of immense pride—a chance to showcase our reo, tikanga, and identity on one of the biggest cultural stages in Aotearoa.

But we need your help.

Performing at this level requires significant financial support to ensure our roopu is equipped with everything they need. We must raise $60,000 to fund our kakahu (performing uniforms), pari, tatua, poi, piupiu, rākau, maro, and guitars. These taonga are not just costumes or props—they represent our whakapapa, our stories, and our pride as a kura.

With only eight weeks until we stand on stage, and just six weeks to acquire what we need, time is tight. Every koha, no matter how big or small, will bring us closer to this dream.

This is more than a performance—it’s a milestone, a testament to resilience, dedication, and the power of kaupapa Māori education.
