Alice asks

Isn't it a bit too much for $25K to be used overseas and not going to a charitable group? Just asking.

Sor Cristiani

Hi Alice!

Any donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated.

The funds will be used for equipments for a few Hospitals in Philippines. Specifically the southern areas, Cebu and Mindanao.

It takes thousands of equipment to treat 12 patients alone.

I'm simply trying to help.

Your prayers for the front liners will be very much appreciated as they combat coronavirus at this time of crisis.

Kind regards,

Sor

That’s the Philippines. We are ad well struggling in NZ.

Besides, the appeal must come from a bonafide health agency.

In this crisis, we need to be vigilant regarding fundraising.

Sor Cristiani

Hi Lani,

I understand your thoughts and I respect this.

I also understand the need for vigilance as others are taking advantage of this crisis.

I am living in NZ and work as a regisstered nurse and aware of the struggles here. Despite the struggle, I am also aware that we have the government has prepared well for the worst case scenario. And all healthcare facilities will have access to these supplies once required.

I am merely trying to help my colleagues and my siblings (who are also doctors) in their battle against Coronavirus in Philippines. As much as I would like to shoulder all the expenses to order the equipment they require, I dont have the means for this. Which is why I made this fundraising account to help them get the precious equipment they need to do their job in safety. Most of the protective equipment donated by organizations only go as far as the central part of Philippines not including the rural areas. Which is why I took it upon myself to ask for help.

Noone should be left on their own at this time, especially the front liners who are risking their lives to help save others.

Any amount of donation is precious.

Any masks given will be precious.

Kind regards

Sor
