Relief fund for flood victims of Kerala state of India 2018
Auckland
The torrential Monsoon rains in Kerala, has left thousands homeless, many are stranded and hundreds died in our “ Gods Own Country”. Hundreds are being evacuated by rescue teams and moved to shelters or the various rescue camps. Our attempt is to help the 1.5 million people directly affected by nature's fury. About 400 are already dead and 1 million people have reportedly been left homeless. The infrastructure damages are yet to be known. Roads and bridges are damaged or destroyed in many parts of the state. The extent of the calamities are yet to be assessed. Our effort will go a long way in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of our government’s effort to rebuild.
We are a registered charitable organisation, proudly serving the Malayali (Kerala) Indian community in Auckland since 1999.
The money raised will be fully utilised for that purpose only. The money collected will be remitted to the Kerala chief minister's disaster relief fund (CMDRF).
